Are you running for more than Recording Secretary?
Yes, I am running for…
Senior Board (Negotiation Committee)
Bylaws Committee
Why do you want to be the Recording Secretary?
I am running for Recording Secretary and the positions above because I believe in the power of collective action to improve our workplace and protect our rights. I know that I can be the change we need and the help to strengthen us as a Union. The only way to make a change is to be the change.
What are your goals if you become the Recording Secretary?
My goals for Recording Secretary and the positions above are as follows…
Fight for Fair Treatment: I want to ensure that every member’s voice is heard and that we all receive fair treatment and respect. This includes fighting for better working conditions, fair wages, and comprehensive benefits.
Transparency and Accountability: I will fight for a culture of transparency and accountability within our union. By keeping members informed and involved in decision-making processes, we can build a stronger, more united front.
Support and Resources: I am committed to providing support and resources to all members, whether it’s through educational opportunities, growth opportunities within our union, or mental health resources. Our union should be a pillar of support for everyone.
Strengthening Solidarity: I believe in the strength of solidarity. By working together, we can achieve more significant victories and ensure that our collective bargaining power is used effectively to benefit all members.
Future Growth and Development: I want to focus on the future growth and development of our union. This includes recruiting new members, promoting leadership within our ranks, and ensuring that we are prepared to face future challenges.
Why should the membership choose you over the other candidates?
The membership should choose me because of my unique combination of experience, dedication, and vision for our union’s future. Over the past years, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to advocating for our members’ rights and improving our working conditions. It has been proven that I am not afraid to step up and speak up to protect our brothers and sisters in any situation. I have never and will never be referred to as a "company man". I took Leadership 1 training for our union at the Winpisinger Center in Maryland and attended the Grand Lodge Convention in New York, and I know that what I learned there not only made me a better shop steward but also will help grow our union.
Additional information you’d like the membership to know?
In my free time, I volunteer as a soccer coach for AYSO and a Baseball coach for The Palmdale Youth League. I believe in not only having a strong union but also having a strong community, and helping our future generations grow strong and be well-educated, which I believe contributes to my well-rounded perspective and ability to connect with others.
