Daniel Bryant

Why do you want to be on the Senior Board?

I'm no politician but I've been in aviation and a union member for along time so I know a little something. I am running for a seat on the Senior Board Negotiating Committee for one reason because I care about the future of our local and organized labor in general. I want to serve in a tangible way in acquiring what is fair, equitable and just for every member of our local. Our time is now and my hope is you all let me help in securing it.

What are your goals if you are elected to the Senior Board?

My goals are simple to give an ear to the membership and prioritizing what my brothers and sister feel are most important for us and our collective futures not with lip service but through due diligence with sincere uncompromised effort and strategic action. If we are to remain relevant when we take our seat at the negotiating table we must do so as one person undivided solidified in capturing our goals this shows the company we fight undivided as one. The company does what is in its best interest and we must counter that by seeking what is in our best interest as well. The company has to recognize our importance to their bottom-line. We play the most important part in the company remaining relevant and profitable. Without us and our skilled labor the company would not exist. Our union should be respected and as your senior board member I assure we will be respected when we gather to negotiate our contract because I will demand it.

Why should the membership choose you over the other candidates?

As far as distinguishing myself from the other candidates I can make no boast other than the fact that I'm honest, loyal, and only desire to serve at the pleasure of the membership and what celebrates us as a whole. My ambition to serve is not out of self absorption or a desire for political power within the union, as you can see I'm not running for anything else. I simply want to be instrumental in paving the way to acquiring what is beneficial for our present and future members of our local.
