Comment Transparency

Greetings Brothers and Sister,

In the effort of transparency, how comments are managed will be changing moving forward. Because of the limitations of the platform we use for this site, comments can be submitted by anyone. Both members of our Union and members of the public can and do comment on our site. As a commenter, they have the ability to use any name that they choose, be that their real name, or someone else. Example… During the chaos that happened at the beginning of our economic negotiations with Lockheed Martin, an individual thought to act like a child and use my name when making an unacceptable comment.

Going forward all comments submitted to the site must meet requirements for the comment to stay. If the comment doesn’t meet those requirements, the comment will be deleted. The requirements are as followed

  1. You must use you “Full” name when commenting.

  2. You must input your email address.

  3. Your email address must be in our mailing list and have your name match to your email.

If you don’t follow these rules, your comment will be deleted.

Our comment section is for members of our Union and we must make sure you are a member and not just trying to insight civil unrest amongst the membership. Below is how we see and verify members on this list.

When a comment is sent, it appears in the Admin Panel as such.

This is our profiles list where we verify you are on our mailing list. If you don’t show up here, its because you are not subscribed to receive emails from your local.
