IAM and GLC Commemorative Coin Raffle

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

After being approved by our membership in attendance at our February Meeting, your Local is going to hold a raffle for our membership.

For those who don’t remember, leading up to the Grand Lodge Convention last year, the Eastern Territories held a fundraising raffle for a set of Commemorative Coins. Your Local’s previous Executive Board, with the approval of the membership, bought several raffle tickets for a chance to win. From those tickets, our Local won one of the sets.

After much consideration, your New Local Executive Board decided to bring the choice to the membership to have our own raffle to give one of our members a chance to win the set. The proceeds of this raffle will go into our Good and Welfare fund where we will use it to reinvest in more activities for our members.

The set contains a 1 Bronze Coin, 1 Troy Oz Silver Coin valued around $30, and 1 Troy Oz Gold Coin valued around $2,900 at the time of writing.

Beginning in March, we will begin selling tickets for your chance to win. There will be no limit to the number of tickets you can buy and the cost per ticket is $20. The drawing will be at our 4:15 meeting on the second Wednesday in May on May 14th. Richard will pull the ticket and one of our members who purchased a ticket will win the set. May the odds be ever in for favor.
