**Update 6/2/2022** - Union Vote for MOA

Brothers and Sister,

We have spoken. We have unanimously voted to reject Lockheed’s proposed Memorandum of Agreement. We have spoken to stand unified and demand that these positions be filled by our membership.

Thank you

Sisters and Brothers,

Lockheed Martin approached the Union with an issue regarding a staffing shortage that will soon affect the ADP programs. The staffing shortages within ADP, are in the following job classifications:

  • General Flight Electrician and Instrumentation Mechanic (LG 18 / RP4144)

  • Electronic Systems Technician – Flight (LG 18 / RP5063)

  • General Flight Mechanic (LG 17 / RP4156)

  • Fabrication and Structures Development Mechanic (LG 16 / RP4073)

The Company has utilized the recall list, bid list, and have posted externally to recruit for the staffing shortage. Lockheed Martin, Palmdale, has been able to fill some of the openings through these methods, but the Company has experienced a severe hiring shortfall that will impact critical programs. The Company has requested an allowance to utilize up to an additional fifty (50) IAM&AW represented members from other Lockheed Martin sites to supplement our workforce until the permanent job openings are filled by new hires/new members.

Your Senior Board/Negotiating Committee met with the Company to discuss the staffing shortages, mission impacts and the effects on your working conditions. Your Senior Board made sure that the Company agreed that you, (Palmdale members), were priority. The Parties have come to a tentative agreement, reflecting such discussions, which will only be put into full force and effect upon your approval

Therefore, this MOA needs to be ratified by the bargaining unit in order to be executed by the Company and the Union.  Please review the MOA linked below and be prepared to cast your vote.

The vote will be conducted at the Union Hall, as follows:
